How to apply for Nigerian Air Force 2026 recruitment

The Nigerian Air Force has opened recruitment for eligible Nigerians seeking enlistment in the 2026 Basic Military Training Course 47. Online registration began on September 3, 2026, and closes on October 14. The application is free.

Applicants must use the official NAF recruitment portal and select the BMTC 47/2026 exercise. They must read the guidelines, confirm their eligibility, complete the form with accurate personal and educational information, and submit it online. Successful applicants must print an acknowledgement form, a Parent or Guardian Consent Form and a Local Government Area Attestation Form.

The attestation form must be signed by an authorised official. Eligible signatories include a military officer from the applicant’s state, a police officer holding the rank of Chief Superintendent or above, a substantive local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate, subject to NAF conditions. Applicants who do not complete the online process successfully will not be able to generate the required forms.

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and medically, physically and psychologically fit. The minimum height is 1.66 metres for men and 1.63 metres for women. Tradesmen and women must be 18 to 27 years old by March 1, 2027. Non-tradesmen and women must be 18 to 22.

Both groups must have at least five credits, including Mathematics and English, in no more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS examinations. Trades applicants with ND or NCE qualifications must have attended accredited institutions. Candidates for driving and other trades requiring a Trade Test need the relevant certificate, while drivers must hold a valid licence. Sports applicants must provide evidence of professional experience, including relevant certificates and medals.
