Hsinchu candidate Hsu Hsin-ying launches campaign ad, proposes 'AI with technology and AI with love'

Hsinchu County Magistrate candidate Hsu Hsin-ying has launched her inaugural campaign advertisement, titled "Innovating Hsinchu," which blends a cosmic perspective with humanistic care. The video contrasts the global significance of Hsinchu's chip industry with the everyday struggles of its residents, particularly concerning medical access and long-term care in remote areas.

Hsu's core campaign message, "AI with technology and AI with love," aims to transform Hsinchu into a model of happiness. The ad begins with imagery of the galaxy and Earth, likening Hsinchu County to Taiwan's sky and stars, symbolizing its technological dreams and global chip prowess. It then shifts focus to the daily lives of Hsinchu residents, acknowledging their vital role in producing chips for the world while facing shortages in rural healthcare and elder support.

Drawing on her experience, Hsu stated, "I have looked up at the sky and measured satellites." From a national perspective, she believes Hsinchu County should be more than just a semiconductor hub; it should become Taiwan's "model of a completely happy city." Her vision involves using technology to find solutions, hence the "AI with technology and AI with love" concept.

Key policy proposals presented in the ad include expanding temporary childcare services and two-year-old classes to alleviate parental anxiety, constructing new indoor themed children's parks, and eliminating co-payments for seniors aged 65 and above. Additionally, the "elderly card" benefits will increase to 1,000 points monthly, and free "AI elder health bracelets" will be provided to seniors, all of which Hsu pledges to implement if elected.
