Hsinchu City Lights Up Qingcao Lake with "Light Lake Effect" Night Exhibition

Hsinchu City is set to illuminate Qingcao Lake with a new night-time attraction, "Light Lake Effect - Light of Nurturing." This innovative light and shadow exhibition aims to create a unique brand for the city's night-time tourism.

The city government continues to promote the overall tourism development of Qingcao Lake. In addition to improving the lake's environment and recreational spaces, we are actively introducing diverse cultural and tourism activities. This year, we are launching the night-time light and shadow brand 'Light Lake Effect' for the first time.

The exhibition began its trial operations in August, with weekend events including a "Light Lake Market" and "Light Lake Performance." Visitors can experience parts of the light and shadow installations, enjoying the lakeside ambiance on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. The official grand opening and lighting ceremony is scheduled for August 30 at 7 PM, promising to blend the natural scenery of Qingcao Lake with artistic light displays.

Mayor Kao Hung-an emphasized the city's commitment to developing Qingcao Lake as a tourist destination. "Light Lake Effect" is designed to transform the lake into a vibrant night-time venue, offering a different experience from its daytime appeal. The theme "Light of Nurturing" will be expressed through light art installations that extend along the lakeshore, creating an immersive experience.

We hope to create a new night-time tourism brand for Hsinchu through the integration of art, lighting, and natural landscapes, allowing Qingcao Lake to be not only suitable for leisurely strolls and sightseeing during the day but also offering rich activities at night.

The "Light Lake Effect" exhibition will continue through December, offering a sustained attraction for both residents and tourists. The city encourages visits throughout the autumn and winter to experience the diverse offerings, from the market and performances to the captivating light displays.
