Hull City Makes Five Signings on Transfer Deadline Day

Hull City added five players in a rush of deadline-day deals, taking the club’s total number of summer signings to 18. The English side, owned by Acun Ilıcalı, had already made a sensational start to its Premier League return with two wins from two matches.

The club first announced a five-year contract for 23-year-old midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, who joined from Everton. Hull then strengthened at right-back with Brooke Norton-Cuffy, a former Arsenal and Chelsea academy player who most recently played for Genoa. He also agreed to a five-year deal.

In attack, Hull City brought in Robinio Vaz from Roma on a season-long loan with an option to buy. The club also added Stoke City winger Sorba Thomas on a four-year contract.

The final signing was young midfielder Christos Mouzakitis from Olympiacos. He signed a five-year agreement after being named Greece’s best young player for the 2024-25 season. Hull City’s other summer additions included Nobel Mendy, Konstantinos Tzolakis, Lucas Herrington, Ilyas Ansah, Mohamed-Ali Cho, Jens Hjerto-Dahl, Joe Gelhardt, Jack Butland, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Elliot Stroud, Hidemasa Morita, Matt Targett and Oscar Zambrano.
