Human leg found at Incheon recycling center; police investigate vehicles from residential areas

Police in Incheon are investigating a disturbing discovery after a human leg was found at a life resource recycling center. The center collects waste from homes and businesses in the Yeonsu and Jung districts. Authorities have identified 34 vehicles that entered the facility on the day the body part was found and are currently tracking them.

The discovery was made by workers sorting through recyclable waste. Initially, they mistook the bag containing the body part for a mannequin, as mannequins are sometimes found in the collected waste. However, upon closer inspection, they noticed bandages and bloodstains, prompting them to report the finding to the police. The level of decomposition was reportedly not severe.

A large-scale investigation team has been formed, led by the Incheon Yeonsu Police Chief. Investigators are considering the size of the discovered leg, which was found to be relatively small, below the knee. The police have also requested information from schools in Incheon regarding any students with long-term absences.
