Human remains found in Tarn farm linked to missing Delphine Jubillar case; morbid tourism feared

Human remains, believed to be those of Delphine Jubillar, have been discovered on a farm in Mailhoc, in the Tarn region of France. The discovery was made by gendarmes on Thursday, following information provided by Cédric Jubillar, the husband of the missing woman.

The remains, identified as two femurs, were found on agricultural land after Cédric Jubillar showed authorities the location where he claims to have buried his wife. Delphine Jubillar disappeared on the night of December 15-16, 2020, from Cagnac-les-Mines, a neighboring commune.

Since the gendarmes left the scene on Friday evening, authorities are now concerned about the site attracting morbid curiosity. The field, located near the D600 road connecting Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel, is described as unremarkable except for a small vineyard shed and adjacent woods. Officials fear the area could become a destination for amateur investigators or those seeking sensationalism, a phenomenon sometimes referred to as "morbid tourism."
