Humanitarian action 'Day for Lemonade for Svratište' underway in over 50 Belgrade cafes

A heartwarming humanitarian effort is underway in Belgrade, with over 50 cafes joining the "Day for Lemonade for Svratište" campaign. Until the end of the day, every glass of lemonade sold will contribute to a good cause. The funds raised will be used to buy school supplies for around 400 children who utilize the services of Svratište, a center located in Krfska Street and Bulevar Arsenija Čarnojevića. Vojin Cucić, owner of one participating cafe, shared that his establishment has seen significant guest interest since the morning. "We joined the action a bit earlier this year than others," Cucić told N1. "About half a year ago, we donated from all sold coffees when Svratište stopped operating on weekends. We collected a modest amount then to help them function again." Cucić noted the public's enthusiastic response to the campaign, with some patrons even paying for 10 drinks while only consuming one, to leave as much money as possible for Svratište. The initiative highlights the community's solidarity and commitment to supporting vulnerable children.
