Humor, friendship, and existential crisis: Inside 'Somos así,' the new LUZU TV series coming to Disney+

Filming is underway for "Somos así," a new series from Argentina's LUZU TV set to debut on Disney+ in November. The production, currently in its seventh week of shooting in Buenos Aires, involves a large crew and intricate technical setups, contrasting with the spontaneity of LUZU TV's daily streaming.

The series centers on a group of friends, all between thirty and forty years old, who find their lives upended simultaneously. They face unstable jobs, shifting relationships, disappointing dates, and unearthed secrets. Across eight episodes, each 20 minutes long, the characters confront absurd yet emotional situations that force them to re-evaluate their identities and commitments.

"The series was written by Santi (Talledo), who knows us very well, so there are many nods for people who consume the program and are part of the community," explained Nicolás Occhiato, one of the stars. "But at the same time, those who don't know us or have no idea what the LUZU universe is will also understand everything." The plot, created and written by Santi Talledo and Diego Vago, promises a blend of humor, friendship, and existential reflection, exploring the challenges of growing up without a manual.

Produced by Pampa Films and directed by Nicolás Silbert and Lalo Mark, "Somos así" stars Nicolás Occhiato, Momi Giardina, Flor Jazmín Peña, Santi Talledo, and Martín Garabal. The production aims to translate the camaraderie and group dynamic of LUZU TV's popular streaming content into a fictional narrative.
