Hungarian team tops European Championships medal table with 14 medals

The Hungarian team finished the European Championships atop the medal standings, securing a total of 14 medals. This impressive haul included four gold, five silver, and five bronze medals, highlighting the nation's strength in canoe and kayak disciplines.

Notable performances included Csikós Zsóka, who earned a bronze medal in the 500m singles and later competed in the doubles. In the 5000m events, kajaker Kőhalmi Emese and canoer Csorba Zsófia both clinched gold medals, with Csorba Zsófia successfully defending her title. Adolf Balázs also contributed to the medal count, taking silver in the men's C-1 5000m race.

The Olympic disciplines saw a medal tally of 1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze for Hungary. Individual successes were seen across various categories, with athletes like Balogh Gergely winning bronze in the men's K-1 200m, and Fejes Dániel and Hajdu Jonatán securing bronze in the men's C-2 500m.

In the women's events, Csikós Zsóka achieved third place in the K-1 500m, while Kiss Ágnes and Nagy Bianka took silver in the women's C-2 500m. Opavszky Réka also earned a bronze medal in the women's C-1 500m.
