Hydro-Mekin prepares 15 MW Dja River plant rehabilitation

Hydro-Mekin is moving forward with the rehabilitation of its 15 MW hydroelectric power plant located on the Dja River in Cameroon's South region. The company has shortlisted three international firms to conduct the preparatory technical studies for the project. The initiative is backed by a budget of 150 million FCFA, funded by the company's own resources.

The primary goal of these studies is to provide a comprehensive diagnosis of the power plant's current state. Experts will evaluate the damage caused by significant events in recent years. They will also identify the essential work required to restore the facility's performance.

This rehabilitation effort represents a significant step for Hydro-Mekin in upgrading its production capabilities. The findings from these studies will form the basis for the subsequent repair and modernization phases of the Dja River plant.
