Hyundai Breaks Through Portugal's 'Death Circuit,' Wins TCR World Tour Round 4

Hyundai Motor achieved its third victory of the season in the TCR World Tour, securing a commanding win at the fourth round held at Portugal's Vila Real circuit. The "The New Elantra N TCR" (domestic name: "The New Avante N TCR") demonstrated superior performance on the notoriously difficult street circuit, known for its narrow roads, sharp turns, and limited run-off areas.

BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse driver Norbert Michelisz clinched the top spot in the second and final race on Sunday. This victory, combined with his fifth-place finish in the first race, earned him a total of 48 points for the round, solidifying his third position in the overall drivers' standings for the season. His teammate, Mikel Azcona, also performed strongly, finishing second in the first race and adding crucial points to maintain his second position in the season standings.

The challenging Vila Real track demands exceptional driving skill and mental fortitude due to its tight layout and unforgiving nature. Michelisz's triumph highlighted the Elantra N TCR's capabilities under extreme conditions. The team's consistent performance has been instrumental in BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse maintaining second place in the team standings with 424 points.
