Hyundai Unveils 2027 Elantra with Elegant Design and Advanced Tech

Hyundai has launched the 2027 Elantra, known as the Avante in South Korea, aiming to recapture sedan market share with a blend of sophisticated styling, cutting-edge technology, and top-tier safety. The redesigned sedan features Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language, giving it a wider, more athletic, and futuristic appearance. It will be available with two distinct powertrain options: a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 147 horsepower, or a self-charging hybrid variant combining a 1.6-liter engine with an electric motor for a total of 155 horsepower.

The exterior is enhanced with 18-inch wheels, full LED lighting front and rear, a distinctive squared ducktail spoiler, and six new body colors. The Elantra's dimensions have expanded, measuring 4.76 meters long and 1.85 meters wide, bringing it closer to the mid-size sedan segment. Inside, the cabin offers a more spacious feel with soft-touch materials and rounded forms, creating an elegant and exclusive atmosphere. It features a large 14.6-inch infotainment screen (with a 12.9-inch option), a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a built-in camera, dual wireless charging, and 100W USB ports. The multimedia system is powered by the new "Pleos Connect" software and the "Gleo AI" assistant.

Safety is a key focus, with the Elantra equipped with 10 airbags, intelligent cruise control, emergency braking, parking assistance with memory function, and blind-spot monitoring. Hyundai plans to launch the new Elantra in South Korea by the end of the year, with an expected arrival in Mexico sometime in 2027. The brand aims to deliver more attractive, technologically advanced, and secure vehicles that retain their characteristic style and elegance.
