Whatever it takes." This statement comes as other NBA stars explore free agency, aiming to quell any speculation about his own future.

The 2.24-meter sensation is eligible for a maximum five-year contract extension, potentially worth $251 million, with possible bonuses pushing the total over $300 million. This would set a record for a rookie contract extension in the NBA. Wembanyama's commitment is a significant boost for the Spurs, who are looking to build around their young star after a successful season.

Despite the Spurs falling to the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals, Wembanyama's rookie campaign was exceptional. He averaged 25 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 3.1 blocks per game.
