Ice Age family returns to the big screen in new adventure 'Collision Course'

The beloved "Ice Age" franchise is making a grand return to the big screen with its latest installment, "Ice Age 6: Collision Course." The first teaser trailer and poster have been released, signaling a new adventure for the prehistoric friends.

Fans can expect the return of iconic characters, including the woolly mammoth Manny, the saber-toothed tiger Diego, and the sloth Sid. Joining them will be popular figures like Buck the weasel, Ellie the mammoth, and the ever-acorn-obsessed Scrat, promising a wave of nostalgia for long-time followers.

The newly released teaser trailer reveals the "Ice Age" family being dramatically ejected from a volcanic eruption, thrusting them into a perilous and mysterious lost world. Faced with a landscape teeming with dinosaurs and unknown creatures, they must not only navigate the immediate dangers but also embark on a hilariously chaotic prehistoric journey.

Adding to the excitement, the cute and mischievous possum brothers Crash and Eddie, along with the mini-Scrat, will also join the adventure, promising to elevate the series' signature comedic interactions. The trailer concludes with Scrat's continued, and predictably chaotic, pursuit of his beloved acorn, hinting at his role in igniting further mayhem.

"Ice Age 6: Collision Course" is directed by John C. Donkin, who previously helmed "Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade." The film is produced by Lori Forte, a veteran producer of the "Ice Age" series. The movie is slated for a worldwide release in February 2027.
