Idaho shooting video shows gunman start deadly rampage in In-N-Out drive-thru

Chilling surveillance footage has been released by Twin Falls, Idaho police, documenting the moments a deadly shooting rampage began at an In-N-Out restaurant last weekend. The violence claimed the lives of three individuals before the gunman, 24-year-old Chad Williams, died by suicide, authorities confirmed.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks stated at a press conference that the motive behind the shooting remains unknown. The released video shows the incident commencing in the drive-thru lane. The gunman reportedly fired from his vehicle through the payment window, fatally striking 23-year-old Ashley Garibay. He then parked, exited his car, and shot 59-year-old Christopher Claunch, who was in his own vehicle and died at the scene.

During the chaos, Austin James, a former Idaho State Police trooper, intervened and was shot by the gunman. Despite his injuries, James managed to retreat to his car and retrieve his own weapon. The gunman then returned to the payment window, firing again as employees attempted to aid Garibay. His handgun jammed, prompting him to retrieve a rifle from his car. An off-duty state police trooper inside the restaurant exchanged fire with the assailant.

After leaving the restaurant, the gunman moved toward a street, firing at vehicles stopped at a red light and wounding three people. The violence continued at a nearby Tesla charging station, where he shot three individuals in two vehicles, resulting in the death of 66-year-old Dale Schultz. The gunman's final encounter was with evacuated store workers outside the Twin Falls Visitor Center. One worker engaged the gunman in conversation, allowing others to escape. Police Chief Hicks praised this individual's bravery, calling them a hero for their quick thinking and selflessness amidst the terror.
