IDF discovers maps of northern Israeli communities in Hezbollah tunnels

Israeli forces continuing to clear tunnels beneath Beaufort Ridge in southern Lebanon have discovered maps detailing northern Israeli communities bordering Lebanon within a Hezbollah tunnel route. The military announced the findings on Saturday.

In one of the tunnel routes, troops discovered maps outlining northern Israel communities that border Lebanon.

According to KAN News, Hezbollah constructed an extensive underground complex at Beaufort Ridge intended for emergency use after losing the area to Israel's anti-terror operation. The tunnel network reportedly houses hundreds of Hezbollah operatives in multiple rooms equipped for long-term stays, complete with living quarters, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure. The military stated these facilities included extensive anti-tank and aerial defense arrays designed to target Israeli troops and civilians.

Hezbollah built an extensive underground complex that was intended for emergency use by the terrorist group after it lost Beaufort Castle to Israel's large-scale anti-terror operation in Lebanon.

In parallel operations, the IDF identified and struck two Hezbollah cells operating from an underground route in southern Lebanon. Soldiers found Kalashnikov rifles and military equipment on the terrorists. The IDF also attacked over 70 Hezbollah infrastructure sites, including launchers and buildings, within a 24-hour period. The military reported killing more than 10 Hezbollah field commanders and their immediate successors in recent southern Lebanon operations. Among those killed were commanders of Hezbollah’s Nasser Unit, Shaqif Sector, and others.
