IDF kill terrorist who kidnapped Noa Argamani, Avinatan Or on October 7

Israeli security forces eliminated Ahmed Hussein Mohammed Kafina, a commander in the Gaza-based Mujahideen Brigades, through a targeted air strike on Tuesday. The military stated Kafina was a key figure in the October 7 invasion of Israel, leading terrorists and participating in the kidnapping of Avinatan Or and Noa Argamani. He also directed others in the abduction of Sudthisak Rinthalak.

According to the IDF, Kafina continued to advance terror plans throughout the war, aiming to harm Israeli troops and civilians. The strike took place shortly before U.S. President Donald Trump announced a deal concerning Hamas disarmament. However, Gazan sources reported to Reuters that additional strikes wounded several Palestinians following this announcement, a claim the IDF has not confirmed.

Kafina was among those who invaded Israel during the October 7 Massacre, leading a group of terrorists under his command.

The Mujahideen Brigades are a distinct Islamist terror group based in Gaza, separate from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The report notes that Kafina's elimination occurred amidst ongoing efforts to secure the release of hostages taken during the October 7 attacks.
