Former U.S. President Donald Trump has renewed his criticism of immigration, particularly from developing nations, stating that such migration threatens to transform the United States into a "Third World Country." In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump asserted, "Sadly, if you import people from Third World Countries, you quickly become a Third World Country– And there’s not a thing you can do about it. Make America Great Again!"

Trump's remarks come after federal judges challenged his administration's efforts to tighten immigration policies. He specifically criticized the judiciary after a court struck down a plan to impose a $100,000 fee on H-1B visas. Speaking to reporters, Trump lamented the federal judges' actions, calling the court system "crazy" and stating they are "hurting our country very badly."

The court ruled that the proposed H-1B visa fee was an unlawful tax, lacking approval from the U.S. Congress. This decision represented a setback for the administration's attempts to restrict employment-based immigration and increase costs for companies hiring foreign workers. The H-1B visa program allows U.S. employers to hire foreign professionals in specialized fields, with 65,000 regular visas issued annually and an additional 20,000 for those with advanced degrees from U.S. institutions.

Earlier in April, Trump had also shared a video featuring conservative commentator Michael Savage, which criticized birthright citizenship. Savage argued in the video that immigrants exploit U.S. laws by arriving in the country during the final stages of pregnancy, allowing their children to become instant citizens and subsequently enabling the entire family to immigrate.
