Igor Lichnovsky Out for Universidad de Chile Against U. de Concepción Due to Injury

Universidad de Chile faces an unexpected blow to its squad with the news that central defender Igor Lichnovsky has sustained an injury. The player is now ruled out for the team's upcoming away match against Universidad de Concepción, scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 PM.

Lichnovsky, 32, began experiencing physical discomfort after his debut in the Superclásico against Colo Colo, where he played the entire second half. Despite training separately in recent days, he has ultimately been deemed unfit to play by coach Fernando Gago.

The team will also be without midfielder Israel Poblete for the trip to the Biobío region. Poblete's absence is precautionary, aimed at managing his recovery from a recent injury.
