Ikeja Electric appoints new Acting CEO

Ikeja Electric has appointed Mrs. Ogochukwu Onyelucheya as its Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. This leadership change occurs as the current CEO, Mrs. Folake Soetan, transitions to a wider strategic position within the energy sector.

The electricity distribution company stated that this leadership transition is designed to bolster the company's capacity for growth, innovation, and service excellence across the entire power sector value chain. Soetan, who has led Ikeja Electric since 2020, will now assume broader strategic responsibilities within Sahara's power and upstream businesses, following her six-year tenure transforming the company.

He highlighted her instrumental role in making Ikeja Electric more resilient, customer-focused, and performance-driven.
