Illegal Doctor Practices in South Jakarta, 2 Vietnamese Nationals Deported

South Jakarta's Immigration Office has deported two Vietnamese nationals suspected of illegally practicing medicine at a clinic in the Radio Dalam area of Kebayoran Baru. The pair have also been blacklisted, preventing their return to Indonesia under existing regulations.

"THT was deported on June 17, 2026, while NNQVT was deported on June 24, 2026, via Soekarno-Hatta Airport," stated Rian Kasim, Head of Information and Communication Section for the South Jakarta Immigration Office, on Sunday, citing Antara.

The operation began with a public report submitted through the official Instagram account of @kanimjaksel. Acting on the tip, the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Team of the South Jakarta Immigration Office promptly investigated the location. During the operation, the team apprehended THT, while NNQVT managed to escape. NNQVT's identity was subsequently added to the Directorate General of Immigration's Subject of Interest (SOI) system.

Later, NNQVT was detected attempting to leave Indonesia through Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Notified by the SOI system, immigration officers at the airport apprehended the individual and coordinated with the South Jakarta Immigration Office's team for further processing. Investigations revealed that both Vietnamese nationals allegedly engaged in activities inconsistent with their granted residency permits, violating Article 122 letter a of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. Consequently, they faced administrative immigration measures, including deportation and a travel ban.
