Imagine Dragons gathers over 120,000 people at Parque Fundidora; FIFA Fan Fest experiences a historic night in Monterrey

American rock band Imagine Dragons captivated an audience of over 120,000 fans at Monterrey's Parque Fundidora, turning the FIFA Fan Fest into a historic celebration. Attendees began queuing early, with lines stretching along Avenida Madero and into the park, all eager for the "great party" accompanying the World Cup festivities.

For over an hour and a half, the band performed hits like "Enemy," "Bones," "Thunder," "Believe," "Demons," "Natural," and "Radioactive," engaging the massive crowd in a sing-along. The concert was a major highlight of the global football event's fan zone.

Separately, Nuevo León Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda, accompanied by Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, took a test ride on the new Line 6 monorail. The governor, along with Metrorrey Director Abraham Vargas, traveled the route from Churubusco in Guadalupe to Constitución in Monterrey. García emphasized the project's scale, infrastructure, and its potential to significantly ease mobility for residents.

During the monorail test, the train made a stop near Parque Fundidora, drawing the attention of concertgoers and families. The governor highlighted this new transport system as a legacy project for Nuevo León, noting it will span 12 kilometers and become one of the longest and most important monorails globally. He also mentioned recent diplomatic engagements, including receiving Japan's Princess Hisako de Takamado.
