Immigration Agency launches three-step plan to protect staff from heatstroke

Taiwan's Immigration Agency announced a three-step plan to safeguard its frontline officers from the growing threat of heatstroke amid increasingly extreme weather. The initiative aims to ensure the health and safety of personnel who frequently work outdoors in challenging conditions.

The first step, "Flexible Work Planning," involves supervisors assessing work environments for heat risks before shifts. They will adjust work content and methods based on daily weather, temperature, and UV index readings to mitigate exposure. This proactive approach focuses on risk assessment and preventative measures before fieldwork begins.
