Inameh forecasts rain of varying intensity across Venezuela

Venezuela will see a mix of partly cloudy and clear skies, with cloud cover and rainfall increasing across several regions during the afternoon and evening, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, known as Inameh.

The institute expects showers in Guayana Esequiba, southern Bolívar, northern Amazonas, the western plains, the Andean region and Zulia. Rain in the north-central coastal region should be less intense, while other areas will retain partly cloudy skies with clear intervals.

Inameh attributed the conditions to Tropical Wave No. 45 as it moves across the country and interacts with the Intertropical Convergence Zone. An upper-level trough and the effects of Venezuela’s terrain are also contributing to atmospheric instability. Light to moderate Saharan dust was reported mainly along the country’s coastline.

For Greater Caracas, including Miranda, the Capital District and La Guaira, cloud cover is expected to increase after midday, bringing variable precipitation. Southeast winds will reach about 22 km/h. Temperatures in the capital and surrounding areas are forecast to range from 18°C to 28°C. Inameh urged residents to follow updates, particularly in areas expecting heavier rain later in the day.
