Independiente del Valle reaches 10 Liga Pro wins, eyes El Nacional record

Independiente del Valle achieved their 10th consecutive victory in the Ecuadorian Liga Pro, defeating Delfín 3-2 on August 14, 2026. This winning streak places them just one win away from matching El Nacional's historic record of 11 consecutive victories, set in 1976.

The match saw Independiente del Valle take an early lead with a goal from Hugo Quintana in the 14th minute, followed by an own goal from Delfín's Ayrton Cisneros.
