India's EAM S Jaishankar to visit Oman, Gulf States from July 5

India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to embark on a significant tour of the Gulf region, visiting Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman between July 5 and July 10. The primary objective of this visit, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), is to bolster bilateral relations with these key Gulf nations.

During his trip, Jaishankar is scheduled to engage in high-level discussions with his counterparts and the leadership of each country. These meetings will provide a crucial platform for exchanging views on pressing regional developments and other issues of mutual interest, underscoring India's deepening engagement with the Middle East.

The tour extends beyond the Gulf. Following his engagements in Oman, Jaishankar will travel to New York on July 13 to spearhead India's official campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2028-29 term. Subsequently, he will visit Brussels on July 14 and 15 to attend the third India-European Union Trade and Technology Council meeting, where he will interact with EU and Belgian officials.
