Indian Embassy in Kuwait Suspends Normal Passport, Visa Services Until July 19

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has announced a temporary suspension of its regular consular, passport, and visa services. Effective immediately and lasting until Sunday, July 19, the embassy will only process applications for emergency cases. Applicants must provide documentation to prove the urgency of their requests. Services that will still be available include Tatkal passport issuance, NRI certificates, short-validity passports for those with expiring Civil IDs, Emergency Certificates, and e-Visas. The embassy stated that applications for normal passports, attestations, and regular visas will not be accepted or processed during this period. Furthermore, all Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) in Kuwait are closed for applications until further notice. Individuals requiring emergency assistance are directed to visit the Embassy's Consular Wing between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, where officials will handle genuine emergency requests supported by necessary documents. The embassy plans to issue further updates and advises the Indian community in Kuwait to monitor its official communication channels and social media for the latest information.
