Indian minister leads business delegation to Greece to boost trade and investment

Indian Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal is heading a high-level business delegation to Greece, aiming to expand bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration. This visit follows successful engagements in the United Kingdom, where the minister participated in the India-UK: Partners in Progress Business Plenary in London.

During the UK visit, key industry stakeholders from both nations expressed strong support for the proposed Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). This agreement is seen as a vital framework for deepening trade and investment ties between India and the UK. In Greece, the delegation will engage with startups at The Athens Startup Business Incubator (THEA), showcasing emerging enterprises and fostering cross-border innovation. Focused roundtable discussions with Indian and Greek industry leaders are also scheduled at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). These talks will explore opportunities in critical sectors including infrastructure, digitalization, defense, food, and agriculture.
