Indonesian military confirms soldiers guarding senior prosecutor's home at prosecutor's request

The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) has confirmed that its soldiers are providing security at the residence of Febrie Adriansyah, the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung).

Brigadier General Muhammad Nas, Head of the TNI Information Center (Puspen), explained that the security detail was provided at the request of the prosecutor's institution. He emphasized that the arrangement was coordinated according to established mechanisms and regulations, specifically citing Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2025 concerning the protection of prosecutors in carrying out their duties.

Regarding the security of Jampidsus, it is true that the security was carried out at the request of the prosecutor's institution and has been coordinated according to the applicable mechanisms and provisions.

Nas clarified that the security provided to Jampidsus Adriansyah is not connected to any other developing issues or controversies. He explicitly stated that the TNI's involvement is unrelated to the recent searches conducted by the Polda Metro Jaya, asserting that such matters fall under the authority of the National Police (Polri).

This statement comes after media reports on Wednesday (July 8) indicated that Adriansyah's house in South Jakarta was under tight guard by TNI personnel. The Kejagung had not yet provided an official explanation for the security measures at that time. The TNI's confirmation aims to address speculation and clarify the official nature of the military's role in safeguarding the prosecutor's residence.
