Ingrid Martz Struggles With Shared Custody of Her Only Daughter: "My Ideal Is for My Daughter to Live With Her Mother"

Ingrid Martz says the shared-custody arrangement for her only daughter, Martina, has become an emotionally difficult legal process. Martz and photographer Rodrigo Luque married in 2017 and had their daughter in 2019, but they now communicate only through their lawyers.

Before formally divorcing, the couple lived under the same roof for two years, no longer as partners, in an effort to preserve a family routine for Martina. They later concluded that the arrangement was no longer healthy and moved into separate homes to keep their daughter away from a tense environment.

Her preference is for Martina to live with her mother and continue spending time with her father, but to have one stable home instead of switching between parents every week.
