Interior Ministry Secretary General hopes fentanyl users face withdrawal starting tomorrow

Bulgaria's Interior Ministry Secretary General has expressed a strong hope that the country will see a significant reduction in the availability of fentanyl starting tomorrow. This statement comes in the wake of an operation targeting the distribution of the dangerous synthetic opioid.

Speaking about the impact of the ongoing efforts, the Secretary General asserted that a particular base was the source of all the fentanyl circulating within Bulgaria. He conveyed his optimism that the recent actions would lead to a market shortage of the drug, directly affecting those who use it.

"From this base, all the fentanyl that was distributed on the territory of Bulgaria came out. I strongly hope that, if our information analysis is correct, from tomorrow there will be a shortage of fentanyl on the market and all drug addicts who use..." the Secretary General stated, indicating the anticipated immediate effect of the operation.
