International analyst explains why fears are growing in Europe of Putin attacking beyond Ukraine

International analyst Andrés Repetto has voiced concerns that apprehension is growing across Europe regarding a potential expansion of the war beyond Ukraine's borders. Repetto noted a sense of alarm in several European countries, citing recent Russian actions and drone sightings within or near European airspace.

He suggested that a lack of decisive progress in Ukraine could prompt Russian President Vladimir Putin to make a "risky decision." Repetto highlighted the palpable tension on the continent, referencing alerts for drones that placed Baltic aircraft in emergency status. Both Europe and NATO suspect these drones might have been diverted from Ukraine or dispatched directly from Russian territory towards NATO member states.

Repetto also cited warnings from the head of British intelligence, who alerted to an escalating situation with Moscow across all fronts, expressing fears of a potential conflict with Great Britain. The analyst emphasized that such warnings should not be dismissed as mere rhetoric, underscoring a pervasive and intensifying climate of tension in Europe.

Further illustrating the heightened alert, Repetto pointed to the situation in Lithuania, an EU member, where citizens received drone threat alerts on their phones, with some images showing people heading to bunkers. Simultaneously, Russia has reportedly begun accusing the EU and NATO of preparing a large-scale attack against Moscow. Repetto concluded that the world is currently experiencing a new world war.
