International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival to feature free events with global artists

Eskişehir, Turkey, is set to host the International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival from September 2 to 6, an event designed to elevate the city's cultural profile internationally. Organized by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, the festival will span five days along the Porsuk River, celebrating art, culture, and entertainment. A key highlight is that all events will be accessible to the public free of charge.

The festival will bring together artists from more than 20 countries, including the USA, China, Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Performances and exhibitions will be held at various locations across the city, such as Kentpark, Sümerpark, Adalar Mevkii, Köprübaşı, and İskele26, as well as indoor venues like the Haldun Dormen Stage and the Art and Culture Center.

The opening ceremony on September 2 will feature a land and river parade at Adalar Mevkii and Köprübaşı, followed by mapping shows and DJ performances. The festival's closing night will feature a grand symphonic concert with the band mor ve ötesi performing alongside the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Orçun Orçunsel.

Beyond music, the festival boasts a diverse program including theater performances like "Dalgakıran" and "Nora 2," children's plays, and international puppet shows. An open-air "River Cinema" will screen films such as "Bildiğin Gibi Değil," "Aile Arasında," and "Neşeli Günler." Additionally, attendees can participate in talks with figures like actor Tansu Biçer and journalist Güven İslamoğlu, as well as enjoy sculpture and photography exhibitions, River Yoga sessions, and design markets.
