The suspect, identified as Rubén, 45, showed a remarkable, albeit dangerous, determination to evade capture, driving his Jeep with a missing front passenger-side tire and causing alarm among motorists and pedestrians.

The pursuit began in the San Francisco neighborhood after the suspect caused an initial collision. Despite the severe damage to his vehicle, Rubén's sole focus seemed to be reaching the Los Tomates International Bridge, a critical crossing point into the United States. His reckless journey took him through busy avenues and over elevated highways, demonstrating a complete disregard for public safety and the law.

What is particularly striking is the suspect's demeanor even as he was being apprehended. Reports indicate he was smiling as he was being handcuffed, a bizarre reaction to being caught in such a dangerous and illegal act.
