Investigation Against TİP Spokesperson Deemed 'Eradication of Freedom of Expression'

The Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) has strongly condemned the launch of an investigation into its spokesperson and Istanbul Deputy, Sera Kadıgil, following a speech she delivered at an event in İzmir. The party vehemently argues that this investigation directly targets freedom of thought and expression.

This approach, TİP stated, reflects a "either you are with us or you will be prosecuted" mentality, used to suppress the public as the political power fails to generate societal consensus.

TİP directed its message to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, urging them to fulfill their responsibilities regarding injustices and lawlessness rather than engaging in a "witch hunt" on social media. The party concluded with a defiant message: "You will not intimidate the public with the stick of the judiciary!"
