Investigation into Nadia Beller attack will not be sealed at victim's request

The investigation into an armed attack on Nadia Beller will not be declared confidential, following a request from the victim herself. Rómer Saucedo, president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), stated that the victim asked for the case details to remain public so she could access all information and receive necessary guarantees.

Saucedo also disclosed a personal connection to Beller, a friendship spanning years. Upon learning of the attack, he contacted the suspect, Fernando Cedimero, who is an Argentine citizen and Beller's partner. Cedimero informed Saucedo that Beller was pregnant and that he intended to travel to Santa Cruz.

Earlier, State Prosecutor General Róger Mariaca confirmed Cedimero's shift from arrest to detention for attempted femicide. The prosecution plans to request his preventive detention, citing compelling evidence of the attack against his former partner. The TSJ president emphasized that beyond his official role, he is a human being with friendships, and he asked the president of the Departmental Court of Justice to provide all necessary institutional support for the investigation.
