Investigation Underway After Three Found Dead Following Fire in Croatian Home

An investigation is underway following the discovery of three bodies in a family home in Sveti Križ Začretje, Croatia, after a fire broke out Saturday morning. The deceased have been identified as a 46-year-old man and two minors.

The County State Attorney's Office in Zagreb confirmed that an on-site investigation was conducted by a deputy prosecutor, forensic teams, and a fire safety inspector. Following the examination of the scene, the bodies were transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Criminology in Zagreb for autopsies. These autopsies are expected to clarify the precise cause of death for each individual.

Police received the report of the fire at 7:24 a.m. on Saturday. Firefighters from Zabok and Sveti Križ Začretje extinguished the blaze.
