Investor Michael Tojner Acquires Municipal Housing in Wiener Neustadt; Sale Not Planned

Investor Michael Tojner is set to acquire a significant portfolio of municipal housing in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, a move that has surprised many current residents. The transaction involves approximately two dozen housing complexes and individual buildings, with the transfer of ownership scheduled for September 1st.

Among the notable properties included in the acquisition are the Etrich-Hof, the Schärf-Haus on Ferdinand-Porsche-Ring, and the Gustav-Kraupa-Wohnhausanlage, named after a former mayor, located near the airfield. These properties will transition to the ownership of WertInvest WieNeu Prop GmbH & Co KG, a company associated with Tojner.

Despite the change in ownership, WertInvest has indicated that a sale of the apartments is not currently planned. Instead, the company is developing a renovation plan for the properties. This suggests a focus on improving the existing housing stock rather than immediate resale, a point emphasized by WertInvest in their statements.
