Iowa Woman Names Husband in Final 911 Call Before Murder

A woman's final moments provided investigators with the critical clue to identify her killer. Angela Prichard, 55, was found shot dead at the Mississippi Ridge Boarding Kennels in Bellevue, Iowa, on the morning of October 8, 2022.

Her sister, Wendy Budde, stated with certainty that Angela's estranged husband, Chris Prichard, was responsible. Budde explained that Angela had been trying to leave him for months and lived in fear of him. "He knew how to get in the front door," Budde said, adding, "A hundred percent, I knew it was him."

Investigators were alerted to a 911 call made by Prichard as the incident unfolded. The recording captured her last words, including the name "Chris!" followed by a gunshot. A faint male voice saying "F*** you" was also heard on the call.
