Iran’s statement about Radio Farda was not meant as reported, Czech minister says

Iran’s ambassador told the Czech Foreign Ministry that remarks interpreted as a threat against Prague-based Radio Farda were not meant in the way they had appeared in media reports, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka said.

Macinka spoke to journalists in Slovakia on Tuesday, where he was meeting counterparts from the Visegrád countries and Japan. The ambassador had been summoned by the Czech ministry over the statement directed at the broadcaster.
