Khamenei has not been seen in public or participated in any government meetings since a U.S. strike on Iran occurred on February 28. His absence has fueled speculation about his health. Iran Wire reported that sources close to the president stated they would not be surprised if the Supreme Leader were to die.

Further adding to the concerns, Khamenei's voice has not been heard since the U.S. attack. Government channels have only received two written statements attributed to him.
