Iran warns South Korea that involvement in Hormuz operations would mean direct participation in war

Iran has warned South Korea that any involvement in military action against Tehran in the Strait of Hormuz would amount to direct participation in a war with Iran.

An unnamed senior Iranian security and political official gave the warning in comments to the Lebanese outlet Al Mayadeen, according to Iran’s Fars news agency and Al Mayadeen. The official said South Korea’s participation in military action in the strait would be regarded as “military participation in an act of aggression.”

Taking part in U.S. military operations is the same as directly participating in a military war with Iran.
