Iranian President questions international institutions' silence over Israeli 'actions' in West Asia

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday condemned Israel's regional actions and criticized U.S. support, alleging a pattern of targeted killings of influential figures. Speaking at an international conference in Tehran, he questioned the efficacy of global institutions in upholding human rights and preventing such violence.

Pezeshkian asserted that collective action from Muslim nations could halt ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, and Palestine. He cautioned that sectarian and ethnic divisions within the Muslim world create openings for external powers to instigate regional tensions.

The president also spoke about the continued inspiration derived from the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's message of unity, dignity, independence, and resistance. Reaffirming Iran's dedication to justice, Islamic solidarity, and regional peace, Pezeshkian concluded that unity around shared values would prevent any external power from hindering the progress of Muslim nations.
