An Australian Jewish couple vacationing in France reported a disturbing encounter with an Irish man in a supermarket who made antisemitic remarks and threats. The incident, which occurred in Avignon, was captured on video and widely shared on social media platforms.

The Australian Jewish Association (AJA) stated that the couple, who are friends of the organization, initially had a friendly conversation with the man, who introduced himself as "Paddy from Ireland." The interaction took a hostile turn when Paddy learned they were Jewish.

According to the AJA's account, the man expressed regret that "Hitler didn't finish the job." The couple then began filming the man, who subsequently threatened them, stating, "You get the f*** away from me before I put a f***ing bullet in your head."

The AJA has been in contact with the couple and a French Jewish security group following the incident. The organization confirmed that the couple reported the man's antisemitic statements and threats to them shortly after the event. The video footage appears to show the man initially smiling before his demeanor changes to aggression when confronted about his remarks.
