Irish Rail services between Dublin and Munster affected following incident

Irish Rail services connecting Dublin with the southern and western regions of the country have been significantly disrupted following a tragic incident early Monday morning. Commuters traveling between Dublin and Cork, Limerick, and Kerry are facing substantial delays.

The disruption is particularly severe on the route between Thurles and Limerick Junction, where all train services have been suspended in both directions. Irish Rail reported that passengers are experiencing delays exceeding one hour. The suspension follows an incident involving the 7:45 AM service from Thurles to Limerick, during which a person on the railway line was struck and killed near Dundrum in County Tipperary.
