ISMAC launches new academic programs and scientific journal

The Higher Institute of Audiovisual and Cinema Professions (ISMAC) has announced the launch of its first peer-reviewed scientific electronic journal, "Audiovisual Research." This initiative aims to bolster scientific research and promote knowledge production within the fields of cinema, video games, and television. The journal aligns with ISMAC's mission to foster a culture of scientific publishing and enhance academic research quality through rigorous peer review.

"Audiovisual Research" seeks to publish findings from peer-reviewed scientific research and encourage theoretical and applied studies related to creative and cultural industries. It employs a robust peer-review process to ensure content quality and accuracy. The journal also aims to foster interaction among researchers, specialists, and practitioners, providing a scientific platform for exchanging expertise and ideas. This platform is intended to solidify the standing of scientific research and encourage studies relevant to cinema, video games, and television.

Furthermore, ISMAC is introducing three new academic programs for the 2026-2027 academic year to update and enhance its educational offerings. These include a bachelor's degree in "Sound and Image," a bachelor's degree in "Cinema, Video Games, and Web Production," and a master's degree in "Audiovisual Creativity and Innovation." These new programs will complement the institute's existing curriculum, which features a bachelor's in "Film and Audiovisual Studies" and a master's in "Film and Television Studies."

These developments are part of ISMAC's comprehensive vision to adapt to the rapid transformations in the audiovisual sector, improve the quality of education and scientific research, and promote integration between academic training, innovation, production, and contemporary technologies. The institute also recently organized a "Partners Forum" on June 24, 2026, resulting in over 20 partnership agreements with national and international institutions and civil society organizations to foster collaboration.
