Isoko group raises funds for stable power supply

The Isoko Development and Leadership Movement has launched a fundraising campaign to acquire electricity transformers and other essential infrastructure aimed at improving stable power supply across the Isoko nation. The movement is calling on Isoko citizens globally to support this initiative with generous contributions.

According to Chief Executive of Henrienco Holdings and convener of the group, Mr. Henry Ochuko Odugba, stable electricity is a fundamental requirement for sustainable development in Isoko. The group stated its commitment to mobilizing stakeholders to achieve this objective and appealed to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State to facilitate lasting solutions to the area's persistent electricity challenges. They believe timely government intervention would not only enhance living conditions but also unlock significant economic opportunities, potentially transforming Isoko into a hub for commerce and industry.

Odugba personally contributed to the fundraising, reiterating the group's strong opposition to the prolonged power issues plaguing Isoko communities. He emphasized that electricity is the backbone of economic growth, industrialization, youth empowerment, business expansion, healthcare, education, and overall community development. He urged Isoko natives, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora, to unite beyond political, religious, and social differences for the collective goal of a brighter and more prosperous Isoko nation.
