Israel Arrests 15 Citizens for Crossing Border into Lebanon

The Israeli military reported on Thursday the apprehension of around 15 Israeli citizens who had crossed the border into Lebanese territory. The group reportedly reached the village of Ghajar before being intercepted by Israeli forces and returned to Israel.

According to a statement released by the army, the individuals crossed the border on Wednesday, causing damage to the border fence. Israeli military and border guard forces were quickly deployed to the location, identified the group, and facilitated their return to Israeli soil. The detained citizens were subsequently handed over to the Israeli police for further legal proceedings.

The Israeli army strongly condemned the incident, characterizing it as a serious disruption and a significant threat to the security of its forces operating in the area. The military called upon law enforcement agencies to bring those involved to justice, aiming to prevent any recurrence of such actions, which are considered criminal offenses.
