Israeli minister calls for nightly killings in Gaza, advocates mass Palestinian migration

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has publicly advocated for the nightly killing of 30 to 40 individuals in Gaza. Speaking on a podcast, the far-right minister stated, "I think selective assassinations should be carried out in Gaza, eliminating between 30 and 40 people every night. Not just those who pose an immediate threat; there are people there who do not deserve to live. They should not live. They are not even people."

Ben Gvir confirmed his disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to reduce attacks on Gaza to advance a peace plan. He also promoted the idea of "mass migration of Palestinians" from Gaza to establish Jewish settlements. He asserted, "All of Gaza is ours... We should have settlements not only in Gush Katif... but throughout Gaza, encouraging the greatest possible emigration, sending them to their countries of origin, and for the terrorists, no emigration, nothing, just kill them one by one."

Since his appointment in 2022, his ministry has overseen a 126% increase in gun licenses for Israelis.
