Istanbul's 15 Temmuz Şehitler Bridge closed for three nights for documentary filming

Istanbul's 15 Temmuz Şehitler Bridge will experience temporary traffic closures over three nights as it hosts filming for a documentary series. The closures are part of the production of "Asırlık Gece" (Centennial Night), a documentary series that began airing on TRT following the 10th anniversary of the July 15 events.

The Istanbul Governorship announced the traffic arrangements, stating that the bridge's direction from the Anatolian side to the European side will be closed to ensure the safety of the filming operations. The closures are scheduled for early morning hours to minimize disruption.

Specifically, the bridge will be closed from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM on Monday, August 3, 2026; Tuesday, August 4, 2026; and Wednesday, August 5, 2026. During these periods, traffic flow will be redirected to alternative routes.

The Governorship emphasized the importance for drivers to consider these closures when planning their travel to avoid any inconvenience. The filming project aims to commemorate a significant historical event in Turkey.
